Last weekend, I had a chance to swing by Electric Lemon , a restaurant that had been open for just four days.
I went to meet a friend and share some pre-dinner cocktails, but I also went with dessert in mind. You see, I had followed Pastry Chef Kelly Nam (@shell.bugi) for some time, but I never had the opportunity to try her creations. Until Sunday, that is.
I picked the Electric Lemon Curd as I figured I should go with the dessert named after the restaurant itself. It’s a bright and refreshing dessert with lemon verbena and lemon balm sorbet. But it’s the addition of Pop Rocks, with its fizzy “shock” sensations, that really allows the dessert to play up to the “electric” in its name. Very clever and playful. I was a fan. 😊
I’d have probably tried all of the desserts if I could; unfortunately, I couldn’t stay too long so I had only one dessert that night. But I can’t wait to go back and try some more! Anybody want to join me on my next adventure there? 😛
